The first phases of these studies took place in Bolivia, during 2016 and 2018, using this regime with numerous patients. The result shows its effectiveness, which opens a door to a treatment with many benefits for the affected population. With a shorter regimen of treatment, the professionals would diminish the adverse effects on patients, modify the adherence to it and increase coverage and access among the affected population.
