
This is a short guide that reflects on the most common and extended terms used when communicating about Chagas. The objective is "to retrace practices that reproduce stereotypes and outdated discourses, and so favor the stigmatization of the affected people".
A precise terminology is needed in order to promote better manners based on knowledge and respect, avoiding any confusion regarding the degree and type of condition for the affected people, in addition to aspects such as social class or gender, among others
